Stories That Stir the Imagination: Daniel Mellows Returns
Storyteller Daniel Mellows brings his lively spirit back to High Tea at R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum. A seasoned performer trained through Trinity College London and Thompson Rivers University, Daniel blends a love of local history with a gift for weaving humour into every tale.

Last year’s guests were captivated by his warm and witty storytelling, bringing history to life in unexpected ways. This year, Daniel returns with more lively tales sure to spark laughter, imagination, and a sense of connection.

Adding an extra dash of fun, Daniel will also host the popular artifact guessing game! Guests can test their intuition as they examine intriguing photographs from the museum’s collection — a playful challenge guaranteed to inspire conversation and a few surprises.

A Musical Tapestry: Lawren Clark Sets the Mood
Setting the perfect tone for the afternoon, celebrated local musician Lawren Clark returns to High Tea as a solo performer. With decades of musical experience and more than 15 years of delighting audiences at R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum events, Lawren brings his signature blend of smooth vocals, rich guitar stylings, and a repertoire that spans original songs, inventive mashups, and fresh interpretations of jazz, pop, Latin, and blues classics. His performance will create a charming musical backdrop for an afternoon of tea, conversation, and celebration.

Fibre Art is Alive — and Ready to Wear at High Tea
At this year’s High Tea, artistry takes centre stage with a stunning display of wearable fibre creations by local artist Sharon Adair. Each piece transforms textiles into expressive, tactile works of beauty, blending quilting, appliqué, embroidery, and upcycling techniques into vibrant, one-of-a-kind garments.

From the bold geometric flair of the Harlequin Jacket to the delicate, hand-stitched charm of the Angels Vest, Sharon’s collection captures colour, texture, and creativity in every stitch. Expect a lively parade of quilted jackets, intricately stitched vests, and reimagined vintage textiles — a true feast for the eyes!
