I am Sara, the new Assistant Manager at R.J. Haney Heritage Village and Museum. I am new to the Village staff, but if you have watched Villains and Vittles Dinner Theatre during the last two seasons as the writer and director, you have had a glimpse of who I am! I will take over Ale’s work as your Volunteer Coordinator this season. Ale has left big shoes to fill. With my boundless enthusiasm and your support, I hope we will have much fun together, leading to a successful season.

It has only taken a few short days on-site to realize that this Village is a beautiful, entertaining, and successful site. The success is because of your outstanding contribution of time and dedication. We wouldn’t be here without you.

Here at the Village, the grass is turning green, our Gardener is already hard at work, floors washed, Bruce is somewhere up a ladder, and the office staff is busy planning the season’s events.

From Work Bees and lunches, birthday parties, weddings, the annual Car Show, and guests dressed for the roaring 20s to the mayhem of Murder Mystery and Villains and Vittles Dinner Theatre, there is no end to the fun events for volunteer participation. We hope you all had a great winter and look forward to having fun with us over the next few months.

The Village thrives because of our incredible community of volunteers. I will remember to say our thanks with draws, food, and giveaways. Most importantly, though, I will never take you for granted. You are the core of what makes Haney the special place it is, and its community of people is why I am so excited to be here.

I am looking forward to meeting and working alongside all of you.
