Volunteers Needed

Hello everyone,

Thank you to all of you who volunteered so far this season, your support is greatly appreciated! August is approaching fast and below is a list of the positions available, please take a look at it and let me know if you can give us a hand 😊

August 3 – Anniversary Dinner
  • Bussers – looking for 2 Bussers from 5:30 to 8:00pm

August Dinner Theatre:

  • Food plating & Bussing – Looking for volunteers for August 1, 2, 4, 8, 9, 11, 15, 16, 18, 21, 23 & 25 from 5:45 to 9:00pm.
  • Bussing – Looking for volunteers for August 1, 2, 4, 8, 9, 11, 15, 16, 18, 21, 23 & 25 from 6:15 to 9:30pm.
  • Usher – looking for a volunteer for August 11, 21, 23 & 25 from 6:30 to 8:30pm. As an usher, you use the golf cart to take guests who need assistance from the handicap parking lot to the Amphitheatre.
  • Kitchen helper – looking for volunteers to help Deb in the kitchen from 9:30 to 12:30 pm on August 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 18, 21, 23 & 25. One volunteer is needed each day.

August 11 – Car Show

  • Parkers, looking for 7 volunteers per shift. First shift from 7:15 to 11:00 am. Second shift from 10:45am to 2:15pm.
  • Gate keepers, looking for 3 volunteers per shift. First shift from 7:15 to 11:00 am. Second shift from 10:45am to 2:15pm.
  • Car Registration, looking for 1 volunteer from 7:30 to 10:30am.
  • Pancake breakfast, looking for 1 volunteer to Plate Food and 1 volunteer to hand out juice, pop or coffee cups. Both shifts are from 8:15 to 11:45am.
  • BBQ lunch, looking for 1 volunteer to work the BBQ from 11:00am to 2:00pm. 1 volunteer to handle cash, 1 to hand out juice, pop or coffee cups and 2 to plate food from 11:30am to 2:15pm.
  • Ice cream & pop station, looking for 2 volunteers per shift. Morning shift from 10am to 12:15pm. Afternoon shift from 12:00 to 2:15pm.
  • Bussers for the Sprig of Heather restaurant, looking for 2 volunteers from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
  • Take down & clean up, looking for volunteers to help with take down and clean up starting at 2:30pm.

August 29 – Burger & Jazz

  • Parkers, looking for 2 volunteers from 4:30 to 5:30pm.
  • Plating burgers & fixings @ the food tent, looking for 3 volunteers from 5:15 to 6:45pm.

Don’t forget about our Volunteer July Best Draw Ever!

The prize of our July Best Draw Ever is:

2 Heavy-duty Camping Chairs, folding table with cup holders & 4 Frank’s Campfire Sticks. With a retail price of $320.00

The chairs and table are high-quality, great for any outdoor activity, with steel frame and 600D polyester material; they are lightweight and come with carrying bag. The chairs offer superior comfort with an extra wide seat, foam upper back and seat and have a load capacity of 400 lbs. They have an insulated 4-can cooler with dual zipper handle on the left arm and a large solid cup holder with drain hole on the right arm.

Frank’s Campfire Sticks are manufactured locally; they are 34” long and have a solid wood handle. Their design reduces the heat from the fire that travels up the rod.

Volunteer between June 10 and July 31. Every 3 shifts will give you one entry.

Worry there aren't enough event dates for you to volunteer before July 31?

Sign up for shifts in upcoming events. Yes, you are reading it correctly, when you sign up for a shift on an upcoming event, we will count it as a volunteered shift, because we know you love us and won’t let us down😉 There is no limit on how many entries you can have.

The draw will be on Monday, August 5, 2024. The winner will be contacted by phone.


September at a glance

Harvest Celebration:

  • Sep 4 – Looking for 2 volunteers to help Set up tents and tables, starting at 10am.
  • Sep 5 – Looking for 3 volunteers to help Set up pop up tents and chairs, starting at 10am.
  • Sep 7 – Looking for 3 volunteers to help put together the Sprays, 2 volunteers to Husk corn, and 1 volunteer as a Kitchen helper from 9:30am to 12:30pm.
    Sep 8 – Event day
  • Parkers, Looking for 3 volunteers to direct parking from 2:30 to 4:30pm.
  • Food tickets sale, looking for 3 volunteers from 3:00 to 6:00pm.
  • Raffle tickets sale, looking for 1 volunteer from 3:00 to 5:30pm.
  • Food platting @ the Haney tent, looking for 3 volunteers from 2:45 to 6:15pm.
  • Bussers, looking for 5 volunteers from 3:15 to 7:00pm.
  • House sitters, looking for 2 volunteers from 2:30 to 6:00pm.
  • Kitchen helper, looking for 1 volunteer from 2:00 to 6:00pm.
  • Looking for volunteers to help with takedown and clean up starting at 6pm.

Sep 19 – Wedding set up

  • Looking for one volunteer to help set up the tents and tables for a wedding starting at 10am.

Sep 26 – save On Foods Awards Dinner Buffet

  • Looking for volunteers to help with Buffet Assist, Bussing & kitchen prep. Details to come.

Sep 27 – Village closes for the season.

Sep 28 – Volunteer Appreciation Lunch. Save the date!

We are looking to expand our group of volunteers

If you know of anyone or have a friend or family member interested in volunteering, please send them our way. As part of our Refer a Friend Program, your name will be entered in a draw for every person who signs in and volunteers for at least one shift. Remember to let us know who you are referring.
