Where History Comes to Life for Students!
Step back in time and experience a school day like never before! At R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum, students will trade their modern classrooms for a one-room schoolhouse from the early 1900s, complete with a schoolmarm who will put them through their paces with old-fashioned lessons.
But school in the past wasn't just about reading and arithmetic—your students will explore, discover, and play the way children did over a century ago!
What's in Store for Your Students?
📜 Write on real slate boards and practice perfect penmanship.
🏠 Tour the original Haney House, where the Haney family once lived.
🏫 Discover hands-on history at the Children's Museum & Discovery Centre.
✨ Churn ice cream the old-fashioned way—a sweet taste of the past!
⛏️ Pan for gold and imagine life as a prospector.
