The one and only

Spooktacular is back!

Spooktacular is back! What are you doing on October 21 and 22? Halloween fun awaits you at this after-dark special event at R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum. For a genuinely screaming good time, join us for the 25th Annual "Spooktacular." Located at 751 Highway 97 B Salmon Arm, gates open at 5:00 pm for this family fun haunting evening. Scary and not-so-scary amusements are open until 8:30 pm. The last admission through the gate is at 7:30 pm. Gate admission is $10.00 per person. Ghouls and ghosts ages four years and under are free. A responsible adult must accompany ghouls and ghosts under 12.

As dusk falls on the Village, strange shadows and ghostly figures appear as the Spooktacular magic commences. Little ghouls can brave the not-so-scary "Pumpkin Patch Path" full of rhymes, games and treats or visit Mt Ida Church and enjoy just the right amount of fright with not-so-scary stories of Halloween magic and mayhem.

Everyone will want to visit the Mystical Fortune Teller. Beware, she knows all your secrets and calls the spirits to reveal your future. If you are feeling under the weather, an appointment with the Menacing Mad Scientist and a diagnosis in his electric chair will surely make you scream. If amusements are what you seek, test your skills at games of chance at the "Hocus Pocus Midway." Looking for a keepsake? Visit the Photo Studio on the boardwalk of the Merchant Block and take your picture with the wizard Gandalf, one of the Istari order, and the Fellowship of the Ring leader.

Don't dare to let your guard down! If you venture too far and cross the bridge of "Last Hope," you will find yourself on "Shady Lane." Chills, thrills and villains await you as you prowl the boardwalk of the Merchant Block. Shops have transformed into blood-curdling, bone-chilling shops of horror and intrigue.

Chaos awaits you. Keep up your pace on a hair-raising adventure through the Fraser Avenue Haunted House. Do you think you are fearless enough to venture to the Spook Trail? There are haunts around every corner, stalking you in the forest where zombies and phantoms are waiting - you never know what unearthly magic beckons your fate and where the howling may lead you. This journey is only for the brave of the heart. You have been warned!

Bring your appetite. When you're ready for a break from all the horrifying thrills, chow down at the food vendors on site. Visit Tsilhqot'in BBQ, Kamui-Japanese Curry, Chefe Daniel and Tappen Tarts. Rest your brooms at the "RIP Coloring Pavillion," where you can make a fun "Haney" craft or colour a picture to take home. Or enjoy warming your bones by the fire pit.

You never know what you might unearth at Spooktacular. Mark the 25th Annual Spooktacular on your calendar - this is one after-dark Halloween event you do not want to miss! For more information, call 250-832-5243, visit our website or find us on Facebook.
