Hello everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful winter and that you are as excited as I am to start another great season at Haney.
Before I start telling you what's coming up, I would like to know if you are still interested in volunteering. If you NO longer want to volunteer, please reply to this email here, and I will remove your information from our list. This is important to me as I am trying to update our Volunteer Database. Note that this is ONLY for the Volunteer mailing list; if you have signed up to receive, for example, emails about upcoming events or membership, you will STILL receive those emails.

For those who would like to volunteer this year, please fill out the 2023 Volunteer Application form and send it back to me. HINT: you will need to save the form to your computer or phone before emailing it back to me at volunteer@salmonarmmuseum.org, or if you prefer, you can print the form and drop it off at the office Mon - Fri between 10 am and 4 pm or mail it to:

No changes on your Volunteers Application Form?
Suppose your contact information and the positions you want to volunteer for remain the same. In that case, email me stating you want to volunteer during our 2023 season and that your contact information is the same as last year. Sign the email with your full name, and I will take care of the rest!

May at the Village
Ok, now the fun stuff. Opening day is Wednesday, May 17th, and our last day open to the public will be Saturday, September 16th. We have lots happening this year, High Tea, Soiree, Car Show, Harvest Celebration, Dinner Theatre and Spooktacular is back. On Saturday, July 8th, we will celebrate Salmon Arm Museum & Heritage Association's 60th Birthday, and Tara has been busy booking weddings and functions!

Work Bee is scheduled for Saturday, May 6th, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to come and participate in helping clean the grounds for opening day; lunch is provided. Please let me know by Wednesday, May 3rd if you are coming, and I will add your name to the list of participants. You can email me at volunteer@salmonarmmuseum.org or call the office at 250 832-5243.
Bring your favourite garden tools (rake, wheel barrel, bucket, rags, etc.), gloves and water bottle!

High Teais scheduled for Sunday, May 28th, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. I will send out more information in a couple of weeks, but I will be looking for the following position: Parking Assistant, Food Prep, Platting Food, Bussers, Set up & Take down.

How to enter: Submit your form; volunteer for three shifts gives you one entry; volunteer for six shifts gives you two entries; volunteer for nine shifts gives you three entries. Any extra shifts will give you an additional entry per shift.
Shifts must be completed by Monday, July 31st.
The draw will be on Tuesday, August 1st, 2023.
The prize will be announced as soon as we have all the details. |
Do you have a friend interested in joining our fantastic group of volunteers?
Last year we introduced the Refer a Friend Program, and as a result, we had a couple of wonderful volunteers joining our team. Invite your friends to come and volunteer with us. Your name will be entered in a monthly draw for every person who signs in and volunteers for at least one shift. So, remember to let us know who you are referring!
I am looking forward to seeing you all this season.
