R.J. Haney Heritage Village and Museum are delighted to welcome traditional storyteller Kenthen Thomas to our stage. Respected Secwepemc elder Mary Thomas is Kenthen's late grandmother who taught him the art of storytelling. Storytelling for the Shuswap people traditionally entertained the families during long winter nights. It is also a way to keep history alive, tell important lessons, and share amusing anecdotes about all the creatures found on this land. These legends have been passed down through Kenthen's family for generations and feature the animals, birds and fish that were once integral to the lives of the region's original residents. Kenthen captivates audiences with his retellings of these traditional stories.

Local musician Lawren Clark and his repertoire of original songs, creative mashups, and re-interpretations of pop, jazz, Latin, and blues-style music is a perfect backdrop of musical entertainment for High Tea.

Partnering in this year's artful fashion show is Salmon Arm's Crazy River Clothing. Pick your slice of delight with Magnolia Pearl. Crazy River has always had a freewheeling sense of Fashion, and Magnolia Pearl is a perfect fit of reworked and bespoke one-of-a-kind designs. You can admire the fabrics, creativity, hand-mending details, and stunning colours all flowing together during this garden showing. Pieces from overalls and lace rose appliqué dresses, blouses, jeans, and much more! "Magnolia Pearl is like no other clothing," allowing the wearer to express who they truly are in a creative way. Also featured in the show are other beautiful designers styled with stunning jewelry pieces and eye-catching accessories.
