It takes a Community to build a Village, donate today!

Donation Form

The grand opening on July 9th was truly a community event. Nearly a thousand visitors and volunteers showed up for the celebration.  President Norma Harisch spoke to the community that gathered.

"Thank you all for coming out to help us celebrate the opening of this spectacular new museum building. It is great to see so many of our donors and supporters here today," Harisch began. Past President and retired C.A. Doug Adams updated the crowd on the financial picture.

"I am so proud of the way the people of Salmon Arm have come through to support this legacy  that we can proudly pass on to the next generation," Doug began.

He told the crowd about the fund raising effort. When people ask him how much more funding is still needed, Adams responds quickly with "....about $140,000 left to go."

Typically, people Doug Adams are talking to are impressed and go on to say that, "Oh you are there."

Doug smiles back.He has always been a careful board member when it comes to numbers.

"Well no, we don't want any debt if we can help it. Please consider a further donation and if you haven't donated yet, please see Susan [Mackie] or me or any member of the Fund Development Committee." Read more...
